What is OC Global?

OC Global is a unique online offering of accelerated and self-paced core transfer courses and completely online Associate Degree programs that allow students to complete a degree on their own schedule and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

Core Curriculum Courses

OC Global offers core transfer courses that can be transferred to any Texas institution. OC Global core courses can also be transferred towards a degree at Western Governors University Texas (WGU Texas) and Bellevue University, two prominent and accredited online universities.

OC Global offers six Associate of Arts Degree programs completely online:

• Psychology
• Sociology
• Speech

What makes OC Global Special?

1. Flexible Enrollment: OC Global courses start every four weeks, so you do not have to wait for the beginning of the next semester to start classes. (A limited number of courses will be offered in the last four weeks of the semester.)
2. On Demand: If there is a core course that you need, but it is not listed in the schedule or available the semester you need it, OC Global can provide it for you, in some cases in less than a week. If there is a core course you need right away, contact us at ocglobal@odessa.edu to get you started.
3. Free Textbooks: An electronic textbook (e-book) is provided free in most (but not all) of the OC Global courses.
4. Flexible Due Dates: All courses have flexible assignment due dates, allowing you to work and complete the course at your own pace.
5. OC Global Guarantee: The word " APPROVED " written across the OC Global logo represents the OC Global Guarantee which allows a student who fails an OC Global course to repeat that course tuition fee. Some rules apply.
6. OC Global Student Success Scholarship: This scholarship provides financial assistance to students enrolled in core courses or degree programs offered by OC Global. The award depends on enrollment status in OC Global courses: 6-8 hours=$800; 9-11 hours=$900; 12+ hours=$1,000.  

Scholarship recipients must complete 10 hours of virtual or face-to-face community service is required for this scholarship and must be completed at an approved agency before the semester ends to maintain eligibility. Award pays for tuition, fees and required books up to designated amounts.

How do I enroll in an OC Global Core Course or Degree Program?

1. You must first apply and be admitted to Odessa College. Click here and follow the steps for admission.
2. Once you complete the admission process, you can register for OC Global core courses online through WebAdvisor.
